STOP THE PRESS!!

Wow, thanks to the overwhelming support in our Poll for a new title, DISTORTIONS new running title will be REAR VIEW. Just kidding about the overwhelming part. LOL. Mine was the only vote, Yahoooo! Anyway, if anyone out there has a better name or would like to take a crack at it, comment back and throw it at us. By all means we are not set on the title, not sure if it has the same pop as Distortion did. Looking for one that really gets our attention.

Talk to everyone soon.

Back from Vacation and Ready to Rock!

Alright everybody, I am officially back from Vacation, and we are ready to get this party started. We are doing a tiny ,little detour for about two weeks. There is a short film contest called DARE TO DIRECT that we are going to take part in. It will be a 3-6 minute short ( in our case 6 minutes ) that the winner could earn up to $15,000 in three different categories. Best Picture $5,000 - Scariest Character $5,000 - and finally Best Make-up/Special Effects $5,000.

We will be shooting it here over the next week to be see if we can get a bit more money for our project. If not, hey we tried, but we will be moving forward anyway. If you would like to take a look at the the contest for yourself the website is www.dare2direct.com

Seems like a cool, fun contest to be a part of. Anyway, we will be posting up photos and video for that shoot here to keep the site nice and active for everyone. Check back soon for some of the makeup tests, rehearsals, and sneak peeks at the script!

Talk to everyone soon.

FINAL REHEARSAL WAS GREAT!

The Final rehearsal for REAR VIEW was awesome. We hammered out the final scene and have made it into a perfect climax for the film. There will be a couple of little get togethers to tighten up spots, but the main scenes have been hashed out. Really looking forward to getting it on film. Dave Martorano and I are going to sit down with the footage and see if there is anything that we missed, needs tightening, but wow! Really impressed with how everyone came together and worked hard to realize the ending to it's fullest. Will have a bit of the footage up on the site from the Rehearsal, but just a little, don't want to give away the end of the film at all. So expect to see that soon.

Now we are putting schedules together and figuring out our first shooting weekend. We have several people to consider when scheduling so, this will be a bit tricky, but we want to work with everyone to make the film with everybodys time in mind.

SPOTLIGHT on DAVE MARTORANO

Dave Martorano - Actor/ Assistant Director

DAVE plays DETECTIVE JOHN HARRISON the Lead Actor in REAR VIEW ( Formerly DISTORTION ) He is a very talented, hard working Actor that is breaking in to the business. The few parts he has done show his versatility and the newest role in REAR VIEW is sure to garner him some well deserved attention. He is also a tremendous assest to me, as the Assistant Director on this shoot. He has been really diving into all the roles and helping get everyone on track with how we they should be played. He has been awesome in rehearsals, tossing in ideas that have helped better the film, and is all about making the best product he can.

Favorite Movies: Unforgiven, Jaws, Braveheart, Goodfellas…I could be here for hours.

Favorite Line from a Film: “It’s a hell of a thing killin’ a man, ya take away all he’s got and all he’s ever gonna have.” Clint Eastwood (William Munny) from Unforgiven

Background:

Actor:

Distortion – Lead Male – Det. John Harrison 2008

The Ugly’s – 2007

The Last Job – Lead Character, M. Marso 2005

Hamlet falls for Shira – Lead, Hamlet – 2003

GOAL: Contribute directly to and make films that move the audience members. The last thing I want my audience to think or say when they see my movie is that “It was OK”. I want them to either LOVE it or HATE it, but MOVE them one way or the other, whether by my direct performance or contribution otherwise in the story or direction.

SPOTLIGHT on KELLIE KARL

Kellie Karl - Actress/Hypnotist

KELLIE KARL plays SHARON RICHFIELD the Lead Actress in REAR VIEW ( Formerly DISTORTION ) She is very talented in many different ways, as an Actress, Comedian, and Hypnotist. Here is Kellie's BIO, this is one Lady that fits any role perfectly, take a look...

Favorite Movies: Anything Spielberg anything Meryl Streep, suspense dramas, comedy...it varies depending on my mood!

Favorite Line from a Film: [Describing a "reaction" to an encounter with the bullies] Ralphie as Adult: [narrating] "Randy lay there like a slug! It was his only defense!" THE funniest line in a movie...EVER!!

BACKGROUND: Actress/Singer/Dancer/Comedy Hypnotist

Kellie Karl is more than just any Las Vegas entertainer--actress, singer, comedy hypnotist and certified hypnotherapist--Kellie has raised the bar when it comes to multi-talented, multi-faceted performers.

Kellie is wowing audiences with her unique blend of comedy and hypnotic skills and is currently performing in "The Outrageous Comedy Hypnosis Show" at Las Vegas' legendary Riviera Casino, and in “The Soprano’s Last Supper", playing Tony Soprano’s sexy psychiatrist Dr. Melfri.

Kellie has appeared on several stages in Las Vegas and throughout the US, including the role of featured singer and dancer in the “Sin City Angels Revue” at The Sahara, the role of Sadista in “Shock,” a Stevie Nicks impersonator in the “Hail! Hail! Rock n Roll” show, and as Chickie Parmesan, the lead actress and singer in the interactive dinner show “BaDaBing.” Kellie has also appeared in several musicals, including “The Taffetas,” “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” and “Swing, Jazz and Jump!” She has had the privilege to perform with notable artists, such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Three Dog Night, The Village People, The Coasters, The Rockettes, Chubby Checker, Aerosmith, Aaron Neville and the Neville Brothers.

Kellie’s talent is certainly not limited to the stage. She has appeared in a number of television commercials, music videos, and in popular shows such as MTV’s “My Super Sweet Sixteen,” the History Channel’s “Haunted Histories,” and movies-of-the-week. Her feature film work includes appearances in “Johnny Handsome,” “Indecent Proposal,” and “Body Moves.”

Actress, singer, comedy hypnotist…Kellie Karl…all that talent wrapped up in one exceptional package!

What people are saying about Kellie Karl...

I have been a stage director for many years. I have worked with many performers and feel that I am a good judge of talent. From the first time that I saw Kellie, I knew she had something special. She is warm and charismatic, and totally disarming with her beautiful smile. Kellie has a true rapport with her audience. and a strong and powerful stage presence. Every time that I have seen Kellie perform her stage hypnosis show, it has been a real winner and the audience goes out loving her.

Joanie Spina
Stage Director and Choreographer
(choreographed 10 CBS David Copperfield TV specials)

I've seen Kellie on stage and I'm trying to resist the obvious and say she's "hypnotic". But she is captivating, enticing, fascinating, charming and wonderfully entertaining. I can and HAVE recommended her show to anyone headed for Vegas.

Farrell Hirsch
Executive Producer Playboy Radio Network
network TV writer, Broadway producer

I hired Kellie Karl to do her hypnosis show for MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen. When Kellie started her show, all 250 teenagers rushed the stage screaming and begging to get hypnotized. Need I say more?

Carolyn Arthurs
Owner, All About Events, Los Angeles CA

Having worked all over the world with many well known entertainers, I have seen many shows and enjoy being entertained. I saw Kellie Karl's show in Las Vegas and she is an excellent Hypnotist who has convinced me that hypnosis is real. Her volunteers were hilarious and kept me laughing for the entire show. Definitely a show I would see again.

Richard Spina
Herman's Hermits

Sopranos Last Supper review
Another character of note is (Kellie Karl) the psychiatrist. She was wonderful in her role. She was both specific and comedic, and she found the right balance between reality and the character she plays.

I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt! Thank you for making this the best night of our vacation.

Meeting of Minds Tonight!

Tonight Dave Marturano and Myself will be meeting tonight at our Famous Fazoli's Restaurant, our typical hot spot, to finalize the end of REAR VIEW. we meet once a week to go over changes, additions, and any new thoughts for the script as it nears the end. It has been awesome having him on board and helping me through the Pre-Production. I've already told him, not only is he going to be my BRUCE CAMBPELL, but he will be behind the scenes on all my productions as well. He brings the same fire and energy I do and it is fantastic to have back up like that. Anyway we will be hammering out the ending dialogue and action.

The other thing we will be working on is our new Web Series, that he will be starring in.. The Razor's Edge. Both of us are very excited and i have been pounding out Webisodes left and right. The first will be a double or triple webisode either 10 to 15 minutes long. want to lay the ground work for the characters and plot, then we can sail through webisodes like a bottle rocket. We really believe we have something that is fresh and new and will entertain as well as get your participation. So anyways bye for now..

DISTORTION - Search for a New Title!

Recently while creating our MYSPACE movie page, I came along another production being made right now, with the same title. There are way to many similarities with the title, age of the Director/Writer, and having a MYSPACE site ( No similarities in storyline ) to keep our name. I don't want this other Production and ours getting confused and building traffic and BUZZ for his Production. So for now ours has now taken on the title REAR VIEW.. With the slug line " Images in the Rear View are different than they appear! " It may stick and in fact we will have a poll on the site with several different choices and see what you all say! I think it works and the new MYSPACE SITE has this title as of now http://www.myspace.com/rearviewthemovie so check it out. This site will connect the Web Documentary and have all the Video's, Photo's, and the Diary from the Making, as well as all Trailers, Cast and Crew Bios, etc..

It is bare bones now, but by the end of the day will be almost completed and up to date for now..

Here are a couple of the alternative names..

Peripheral Vision
Blind Spot
Distorted
Blind Sided
Rear View

SPECIAL THANKS!

A person that I have regrettably forgotten to mention in the last posts has been one of our Producers, ROBERT SANCHEZ. His help in the making of the film has been huge. Not only is one of the Films three camera's his, big enough help there, but he has been doing much more behind the scenes. His Daughter will be shooting all of the behind the scenes footage alongside of my daughter as well, so I definitely wanted to mention him on this post. Thanks for everything and we will make you proud with the final product.

Original Trailer for 2002 Short

Here is the Original Trailer made for the 2002 Short Version of the film. This was truly low budget, low quality DV, for it's time.. wasn't so bad.. Now it is definitley out dated. Take a look for fun.

Final Rehearsals One Week Away!

Final rehearsals are coming up quick. The 22nd we will be choreographing the final fight scene, hammering out the dialogue to nail it down, and setting the stage for Principle Photography. It has been a rough ride throughout the entire production. We have had Cast and Crew in and out of the Production, and now are finally putting the final pieces together. Happy to see this part of the Production about to be finished. There are a couple of videos that will be uploaded here shortly. I wanted more of the inside look at that end, but time ran short. Principle Photography will not be a let down, this I promise you. It will be a very detailed look into the filming.

This is the part I think everyone wants to see more of anyway. We will shoot Behind the Scenes every day. Other Videos of the Pre-Production are coming, I want a bit of a sneak peak at the final fight scene uploaded, but not too much. There are a bunch of twists, that will not be revealed, but we can upload some. So stay tuned shortly for some updated content.

FARRLAND FILMS on Board!

Dr. Asad Farr with Actor Robert Miano

We are very lucky to have a new Executive Producer on board with DISTORTION. Dr. Farr, of Farrland Films is working hand in hand to get Distortion on the screen. He has become very instrumental in helping us find the last few pieces to our puzzle to get rolling and Shooting. He has been in the Film business for several years now and has Produced a number of Projects in that time frame. His Films have had starred the likes of Robert Miano, Scott Schwartz, Branscombe Richmond, Frank Stallone, Vanessa Ross, and Shane Brolly of Underworld I, II, and III which is in Post Production at this time. Dr Farr is a tremendous asset to us and we are very thankful for his help in getting DISTORTION off the ground.

We met earlier this year, through Ben Bachelder, and started work on AFTER DARK together. That film is slated to shoot directly after Distortion and we are looking forward to a long, very productive partnership with him. So WELCOME ABOARD Dr. Farr!

BAKED MIND Goes IndieGoGo!

Fantastic Website for the Indie Filmmaker

There is a website out there for those who are interested, that allows you to promote and try to raise funds for your film projects. We have just singed on, so we haven't had a chance really to test it out. But after looking at some of the many that are signed up, there are quite a few success stories coming out of it. It seems if you have a project that people deem worthy, you can hit a goal you set up for yourself. The coolest thing about the site is you can create VIP Packages for the level of Funding provided by people. You set it up anyway you want, with the exception that you cannot promise Profit Sharing. Below is a link to the site. If anyone wants to be a participant in this film, instead of just a viewer, please pick out a package and lets work together. On the top right of the site is a widget, that shows you what our goal is and how far from it we are. Keep an eye on it to see how fast we can hit our goal.

For the IndieGoGo.com website click here

Anyway, back to work... I am editing some more video for the site, and there will be a new one posted here shortly. TT everyone soon.

FLASHBACK -The Original

Here is an interesting flashback for everyone. I found footage from the original short film, shot in 2001 under the original title of ENIGMA. This version was shot on very low quality DV with a couple of very good actor/friends. We had a ton of fun shooting it and I did everything myself at this time. I was the cameraman, the Lighting Tech, The Director, an Actor in the film.. Yadda, Yadda, Yadda. It was a cool little trip back on memory lane, so I thought i would show you a couple of the decent shots from the film.

Hope you enjoyed it, TT you all a bit later,

David

Sharon Richfield ( Lead ) Kellie Karl

John Harrison ( Lead ) Dave Marturano

Jessica Stantz ( Supporting ) Yulia Popova

Tracey Jensen ( Supporting ) Lonetta Maier

Others are following very soon.. TT Everyone again very soon!

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #12

A much needed breather was taken for the last week. The Production was racing forward with great momentum, the cast has been fantastic, the crew?.. Well, that's where the problem laid for a moment. Several Members were not so into the project, not because of the script, frankly I don't honestly know why. But this problem is now handled. A new AD in place has helped revitalized me and after a couple days of relaxing and getting refocused.. WE ARE BACK ON TRACK. There is a post for an opening on MANDY for a Lighting Tech, that we need to fill, besides this we are pressing forward. Sunday will officially put the wheels back on the cart. We are getting together to kind of state where we are, where we want to be, and get a couple of scenes blocked out.

Video #3 will be up this weekend as well, followed quickly by #4. As the Pre-Production gets back on track, here is a bit of an inside scoop on the storyline of the film...

DISTORTION: It is a Suspense/ Thriller in the style of Memento, but a bit more fast paced. It is primarily one location, the address below. Everything happens in the one night. A woman wakes up in a house on a stormy night, in complete darkness. She has total amnesia.. not knowing who she is, where she is, and why she has a gun in her hand. She tries to piece together what happened, through the darkness, finding more things that disturb and confuse her as the night goes on. When she comes upon the dead body, things get a lot more complex. Did she do this or is there someone or something else in the darkness with her. As the night plays out, everything starts to come back to her, and the reality of what happened and what she believes occurred... become two totally different events all together.

Stay tuned for this weekend!

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #11

It has been too long since my last post and there is good reason. Trying to tackle too much at the same time has been eating me alive. At this point I have been the Writer/ Director/ Producer/ Blogger/ Casting Director and much more for the past couple of months. I have ran the rehearsals, casting calls, location scouting myself. The rest of the crew that was supposed to be backing me up, has put in very little time with this production. AFTER DARK, killed them. This is readily apparent now. When ever Casting, rehearsals, reads have been scheduled.. I was told, I will be there and something has come up every time. The Production setbacks from the first film we were originally going to do, has sucked the enthusiasm right out of them. Ben Bachelder, my partner in crime is not to blame in anyway what so ever for the lack of enthusiasm from the rest of the crew. He just has his plate full to the brim right now and cannot give time to this project, like he would like to.

Talk about bad timing. Now that we have a cast set, that is energetic and ready to film, the crew is falling apart. NOW it is in my hands to replace crew with people who have the drive to get a production done. The final straw came when we were not ready to shoot, after just casting everyone, one week after the actors had received the scripts. I was not going to push the cast into filming, without rehearsals or even a read. No one was ready. the film has many hard roles that require a lot of emotions, choreography, and so forth to film. Since I pushed back the dates to get it right and not waste a ton of time on set getting performances right, the crew has faltered. They have no desire to get into the film now. I can't blame them a little, but I can when it comes to.. everything is in place now. We have rehearsed, I want a couple of more, just to nail down choreography and a couple of the very intense scenes. We should be ready to shoot within 30 days. Not a lot to ask.

It could have been sooner if I had back up helping me to arrange things, but it is not there. I will be posting on MANDY again, tonight to get two positions filled that are vital for our production. DAVE MARTORANO, has now been put in my ASSISTANT DIRECTOR position, simply because he has the vision, drive, and energy to get what we need out of our Actors and our script. Our vision is identical and so is our Passion to get this project right. We all know, that if done right, this could be a huge hit for us. I am proud to have him backing me up and moving forward on this production. I feel now that I am not working alone and this is not stressing me out to the point of fracture. The next couple of days you will see the difference it will make in the Blog site here. I will be able to get the four other video's up that are being edited right now, FUNNY STUFF, and there will be some detailed backgrounds on cast and crew.
So please stay tuned. Things are going to start barreling forward at a nice click now!

VIDEO DIARY #2 - Spell Check?

Here is the second Video I have been promising for a while. This is from the read on 5/8/08. Obviously we did not upload the entire read, this includes a scene between Jessica ( Yulia Popova ) and Sharon ( Kellie Karl ). This video showcases how spell check is not a grammar check. There are times when I buzz through typing very fast and type a word, that is a correct word, but was not my intention to put in that particular spot.

Normally it is simple little things like know and now, off and of, etc. This one was a bit funnier and would require some interesting special effects if we really wanted to shoot what I wrote. It would be an audience grabber, noway they would see it coming, or be prepared.

So, take a peek and we'll TT later,

David

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #10

Kellie Karl "Sharon Richfield"

Sorry for not touching back with everyone.. My 12 year old has been going through some tough things. We had her in and out of ER and Doctors Offices for the last week. Things are back to normal and she is healthy as can be again. BACK TO DISTORTION! I just finished editing Video #2. As I am writing this post it is Rendering. There have been some great contributions to the Script by all, but most have been by Dave Martorano and Kellie Karl. Dave and I have been throwing things back and forth at each other on a couple of the key scenes to the film and I have done a Re-write with these ideas peppered throughout.

Kellie has been a huge help as well as she is helping with consulting to ensure that we are accurate and take care in how we present certain things and word them as well. She has been absolutely instrumental in CONTINUITY for us and has now been given an additional credit in Crew now as our Film's Consultant.

There will be a couple of additions to the Video added tonight to catch us up, after falling behind this last week. I have given Cast and Crew this week to relax a bit as we are now pushing to get one more big rehearsal and start principle photography. The first of several videos to be uploaded tonight is a scene and a funny situation during our read. Not wanting to reveal too much, the read will be broken up a couple of times and unfortunately you will just get glimpses of it, to ensure that the twists and turns aren't given away. Stay tuned, just a few minutes from now, Video #2 will be ready to view!

TT later,

David

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #9

Hello all, there has been a bit of a delay getting the next videos up, with rehearsals and reads happening this week.. It has left me little time to get everything edited and uploaded. There will be several in a row added here within the week. Tomorrow is our first real rehearsal. Our read Thursday went terrific. Everything sounded good, we tweaked somethings right on the spot, that have made the script even better, as well as our ending is being rewritten just a bit. All to better our final product. Everyone is excited, we had a lot of laughs on the night of the read and you will see some of those on the video, once it is up.

This week there will be around three or four new videos that get uploaded to the site and you'll love what we have. Great stuff.

TT Then,

David

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #7

AUDITIONS are completed. Roles have been filled. Sunday we are doing interviews with the Cast to post on the website. We will FINALLY have some video for everyone to see. I will post clips of the Auditions, as well as interviews with the Cast members with their auditions. Should be a cool compilation of stuff for everyone to see. Now I have promised this many times and have not delivered yet. Just so much stuff going on trying to keep up everything made it very difficult. There will be no more EXCUSES from me!!!! Sunday night there will be our First Video postings NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

I will be shooting the Interviews early in the day, editing and posting at Night. I believe we have a strong cast that will fulfill everything we need them too and then some. Finally excited again to be fully up and running with no more speed bumps in the way. Switching to DISTORTION was absolutely the best thing we have done. Everyone who has even read snippets of the script, are locked onto the project for the originality. We have a very new, fresh, twisted script that is going to turn heads and totally catch everyone off guard. Believe it or not in a world or Movies that have been done 100,000 times this one has not been done. The twist to this has not even been tampered with, which just gets me more and more excited every time I talk about it.

Anyway. Will TT everyone Sunday and look for the Video Sunday night or if it gets posted to late Monday morning for those who don't stay up to late.. But it will BE THERE!!!

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #6

Principle Location for DISTORTION

Final casting was done on Tuesday night. We are buzzing through all of the audition tapes to see who fits what part the best and will be making final placements tonight. Call backs to Actors and Actresses will be tomorrow to let them know the good news. We had several really talented people show over the last couple of days and going into Production I am feeling great that we have someone for every part.

Ben and Myself again will be reviewing starting at 8:00 PM. We will be looking for several criteria for everybody. How good do they listen to Direction and change the performance. How good are they with no Direction, Creativity, how they can change up the dialogue or contribute to making the dialogue more realistic and not too stale sounding. Tomorrow after we tell the winners, we will post the winners here. So come back and check it out!

Till then,

David Lytle

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #5

Bakedmind Films 2008

Well, the majority of the final casting was done yesterday and there were a couple of standouts. I was a real relaxed setting for everyone. Fewer people showed than expected, due to me sending out the script parts a bit late. 4 out of 11 made it Sunday. Tuesday night, there will be 3 others who could not make it.. due to prior engagements. So Wednesday Ben and I will be going over the tapes and making final decisions on our cast. Calling everyone back by either that night or Thursday. Most likely be calling back Wednesday night.

Have to admit, I was excited the whole day, hearing my words spoken by Actors and Actresses. The different interpretations were very interesting. I just can't wait to get camera's rolling on the 9th and 10th. I'm ready right now, eager as hell, want to put things on tape right this second if I could. Going to try and set up things so that maybe the next coming Sunday we can get a read, might not be able to squeeze it in, but I'm going to damn well try. Will get Auditions of the cast that is chosen up on the net right after choices are made, and get a couple of interviews as well. This will make it to thew web..

TT everyone soon,

David Lytle

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #3

Independent Film Making is the wave that everyone is riding!

Hello all,

Just wanted to touch base and let everyone know that we have extended the schedule in order to get a better project. We will be shooting the weekend of the 25th - 28th as well as the 9th-11th. This gives us a reasonable schedule to accomplish everything that we need to. As well as really get the rehearsals and stunt scenes established, without rushing. Everybody is feeling the weight of that one weekend melting off their shoulders now and we will all be much less stressed and pressed to get an hour and twenty minutes of screen time in that one compressed weekend.

We can also commit the time and effort into the behind the scenes blog to get what we really wanted out of it. Lots of Video and Photos. Not all diary. Been hectic trying to shoot footage for the webumentary, write the script, shoot behind the scene material, cast, etc with the little time we had. Was going to be more of just the shoot than we originally planned.

Now it can be spread out much better. The blog has changed addresses for the new shoot as well. You can access the old blog from the new site in the links. But all the new stuff will be at this address.....

http://www.bakedmind.blogspot.com/

Our Myspace is up and rolling now and can be checked out at...

http://www.myspace.com/bakedmindfilms

This weekend lots of new posts will be occurring, especially come SUNDAY so check it out then.

For now keep on shooting, keep on writing, and creating!!

Ben Bachelder & David Lytle of Baked Mind Films

Hello all, been a couple of days and things are really getting down to the nitty gritty. Last night I spent a couple of hours talking to my camcorder to do the first Video Interview. Ever try doing an interview with yourself? It was funny as hell, could not keep a straight face, let alone, get my lines down. Worked on till 2:00 am. Think I'll put up a bunch of it for laughs. Just basically doing an intro to Behind the Mind and what we hope to accomplish with this Documentary.

Final casting is happening this week. Have a couple of players for the final roles, that should work great. I reshaped the script a bunch in the end to give it more bite. We have a stunt crew working on the script, if we can implement a couple of good stunts into the film. Had to work hard to create scenes that would make sense and be amplified buy stunt work. Think I pulled it off well. The location of the main part of the film is my house ( My Wife is thrilled ) wait till she sees the splatter of blood on the wall for the opening scene, probably end up sleeping in the backyard for a while. It's not small, but it's not all that big, yeah.. that's how I'll play it.. Till we shoot it. Then bigger the better.. OOps, probably should erase this part. NAAA.

The basic premise to the film is as follows...What if you woke up with total and complete amnesia. Not knowing where you were, who you were, and why on earth you had a gun in your hand. Add to the mix that you are bleeding from a wound to your head and the power is flickering on and off from one of the worst storms in the cities history. There are moments of complete light only intermittently, making you have to dig through the amnesia and the darkness to find out just what happened. Add a dead body to the mix, with a bullet hole right between the eyes and your pulse is racing now. All this would be bad enough... What if your weren't alone in the dark? That's all ya get... I'll be posting an edited version of the Video Introduction by Friday night. Wasn't able to film the last couple of lines. You know I truly know what a schizophrenic person feels like after the interview with myself. Oh well. Until Friday Night!!

DISTORTION - Pre-Production #1

Background from Pyzam.com

DISTORTION set to shoot in Las VegasThe back up film to AFTER DARK is fully Greenlit. What can we say, things in the Film Industry happen, dates change, things change, constantly. At this point DISTORTION a Suspense/Thriller in the tradition of Memento and Sixth Sense is the A #1 project now. The script is finished. The Crew is finalized, the cast is just about set.

Two more roles to fill. We have posts on MANDY and CRAIGSLIST LAS VEGAS to finish these off. Totally believe that we will have these cast here in the next two days. Also next post will be our first Video Broadcast Upload. It will consist of a quick interview with Writer/ Director David Lytle on the issues so far and pushing forward on DISTORTION. Look out for this one should be cool.Photos of locations, sets, storyboards, soon to follow as we crank it up and get this documentary really flowing. Tune in next couple of days for the first video interview.
TT everyone soon..

Well things have taken a dramatic turn. We have officially had to put AFTER DARK on the back burner for now. Our Producer, supplying our location, has the Ranch rented for the weekend of our shoot. This being the second time we have had to reschedule with our very large cast and crew, we feel that it is only fair to put this off until we have a SET DATE, which we thought we did.We do have a back up plan and it is now in full effect. We have a second script that can be shot in the same time period, a quick 4 day shoot. It was slated to be our next project and now has been bumped up to the front of the line. DISTORTION is a six sense type Psychological Thriller, but filled with more action. The plot is very original, with many twists and turns, that we feel will really rocket and make this a very engaging film.We will be shooting this in Las Vegas, it is a three location project, and we will still do the Webumentary for this film. This will become a trademark of ours, every film will have it's Webumentary online. This one will have much more behind the scenes video and photos from the set, so it will be much more updated. Every day from this point we will be blogging with what is happening. We have the time to make this Webumentary really detailed and chalk full of great video and photos. So stayed tuned, tonight I will get the first official Pre-Production #1 for DISTORTION up and running. Hope you all stay tuned, this is going to be a much more fun ride!David Lytle
